Site D is part of the overall Bermondsey Spa Regeneration master plan and is one of the early medium-rise, high density schemes designed under recent ODPM and GLA initiatives.
Mixed tenure is carefully integrated, including housing for sale and for intermediate shared ownership, as well as affordable homes for rent and key workers. Family dwellings are located to take advantage of ground or podium level gardens with apartments orientated to take best advantage of superb views and sunlight.
Site D is designed to Ecohomes ‘Very Good’ standard. The scheme will consist of a centralised community heating plant with CHP. The site was analyzed using IES Thermal modelling software to reduce carbon emissions and Whitecode advised of the number of ways to comply with the London Renewables Toolkit.
