Grand Ocean is a stunning new development by Explore Living, which sees the careful transformation of the former Grade II listed art deco façade of the Grand Ocean Hotel, on Longridge Avenue in Saltdean, East Sussex. Once complete, the development will provide 279 unique one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses, many with sea views.

There will be a number of different apartment types and configurations available, all built to Explore Living’s unusually high standards of design, innovation, quality and fittings. Contemporary, comfortable and spacious on the inside, in tribute to the style and heritage of the original site on the outside, there are apartments to suit everybody’s requirements.

Features such as landscaped communal gardens and underground parking add to the convenience and luxury lifestyle afforded by this prestige development.

Whitecode Deign Associates have designed one block with an individual gas feed heating system and all electrical requirements, with a rain water harvest system. All other blocks have underfloor electric heating.

The hot water storage has been designed on a communal solar panel system, approximately 280m2, which will heat all the individual hot water storage cylinders for the site. This will be backed up with electric immersion if needed.

There are also grey water systems being installed to serve the landscape areas.

The apartments and two levels of the car park are secured with door entry and CCTV throughout the site.

All lighting for the site is 100% low energy.
