Code For Sustainable Homes (CSH)
Whitecode Consulting has vast experience in carrying out Code for Sustainable Homes assessments, from small scale developments consisting of seven bungalows to large scale high-rise developments consisting of 400+ apartments. We have carried out assessments located in Central London and outside of London.
CSH was launched in 2006 as a way of assessing, rating and certifying the sustainability of new homes. The assessment covers both the design and construction stages of new homes and measures sustainability against nine categories:
- Energy and Carbon Dioxide Emissions
- Surface water Run-Off
- Health and Wellbeing
Whitecode’s sustainability team has been carrying out CSH assessments since 2007 and has vast experience with both small and large developments. We work closely with our clients and their project teams from the Pre-assessment Stage through to the Design Stage and finally to Post Completion Certification.
Whilst the CSH scheme was withdrawn by the Government following a Ministerial Statement in March 2015, legacy assessments can, and are, still be carried out.
