Modern Slavery Statement
Financial Year Ending 31st March 2026
Issued pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Whitecode Consulting is committed to maintaining and continuously improving the high standards required to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain. We conduct our operations ethically, transparently, and with integrity, and we expect the same from all organisations with whom we work with.
Our Organisation:
Whitecode Consulting is a Building Services Design company providing innovative and high-quality Building Services Engineering, Sustainability Consultancy, CAD/BIM Services and Utility Consultancy. We employ approximately 100 staff, including highly qualified engineers, CAD/BIM designers and essential support teams. The majority of our workforce is directly employed and not typically considered vulnerable to modern slavery risks within the UK. Our recruitment processes are robust, transparent, and designed to ensure fair, safe, and compliant employment practices. Given this, our primary focus is on ensuring that strong controls, policies, and due diligence processes are in place for our contractors and suppliers.
Our Supply Chain:
We work with a wide range of suppliers who provide goods, services and operational support. Following a review of our business operations, we recognize that the highest potential risk of modern slavery lies within the supply chains supporting our clients construction and implementation activities.
We remain vigilant in identifying and managing these risks.
Due diligence:
Whitecode Consulting undertakes comprehensive due diligence on suppliers operating in higher-risk areas. We have established procedures for assessing, monitoring, and auditing these suppliers to ensure they meet our standards.
All suppliers are required to provide evidence of their own Modern Slavery Statements or equivalent policies, demonstrating their commitment to ethical and lawful practices. Where concerns arise, we take appropriate action, including reviewing the relationship or ceasing engagement.
Policies
We maintain a suite of internal policies designed to minimise the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain. These include:
- Working with Suppliers and Partners Policy — sets out requirements for procuring goods and services, including expectations relating to human rights, child labour, forced labour, and modern slavery.
- Whistleblowing Policy — enables employees to report concerns confidentially, including issues related to modern slavery, trafficking, or child and forced labour.
These policies are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain effective and aligned with best practice.
