Whitecode Consulting has provided client Guildmore with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Heating (MEPH) designs, and Utilities and Sustainability consulting services for a new mixed-use development in Swanley.

As part of Sevenoaks District Council’s Swanley regeneration plans, the new £4m development named ‘The Meeting Point’ is transforming a previously disused area of Swanley into 17 high-quality residential units and an expansive 250m2 ground floor Business Hub. The development is suitably located in close proximity to shops, restaurants and Swanley Rail Station. Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering consultancy Whitecode worked in conjunction with SB Architects to deliver MEPH designs and utilities and sustainability consulting to this development. SB Architects enlisted the support of Whitecode on this project due to its specialism in sustainability and value for money.

Whitecode began working on the project in March 2020. The company’s electrical consultants possess an in-depth knowledge of building operation and function, recognising the demand for energy-efficient and sustainable developments making it the clear choice to provide a sustainability consultation on this project. Whitecode provides pre-application, planning and early design stage advice for all types of new developments requiring energy sustainability reports. Whitecode has experience in producing reports that show compliance with local and national planning policies, ensuring your project meets relevant sustainability objectives and receives planning permission.

Whitecode Consulting has experienced engineers in all areas of MEPH design. While well-designed, mechanical services such as heating, ventilation, and cooling can go unnoticed, these essential services contribute to the aesthetic makeup of the building and help make apartments attractive to tenants. On this project, Whitecode’s engineers ensured that the mechanical works were efficient, easy to control, maintain and adapt.

Whitecode’s approach is to provide clients with an integrated design which combines building services design and utilities applications. By understanding a client’s final objective, and offering early engineered design advice Whitecode supplies utility providers with the exact requirements, providing the client with a complete engineered design solution for their building.

Whitecode’s MEPH, sustainability and utilities consulting has been essential to this project, ensuring that the building will meet the desired sustainability objectives. The Meeting Point at Swanley High Street is now complete and residents can benefit from a sophisticated and sustainably engineered building.
