SBEM Assessments & Energy Performance Certificates

Non-residential buildings are required to comply with Part L2A/L2B of the Building Regulations. There are two methods in which this can be done, with the Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) or Dynamic Simulation Model (DSM), both allow the production of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) at completion.

Services Overview

Non-residential buildings are required to comply with Part L2A/L2B of the Building Regulations. There are two methods in which this can be done, with the Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) or Dynamic Simulation Model (DSM), both allow the production of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) at completion.

An SBEM assessment is undertaken to highlight the energy performance of new and existing non-domestic buildings. An approved method, SBEM assessments pinpoint the energy required to heat, cool, ventilate and light a non-residential dwelling. SBEM assessments are carried out to show Part L compliance, and to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

An EPC is a legal requirement when renting or selling a property and demonstrates how energy-efficient a dwelling is.

Whitecode Consulting has years of experience completing SBEM assessments and EPCs to make our clients’ buildings as efficient as possible.
